I’m starting this blog after already going down the nomad lifestyle for the better part of a year. So rather than starting with all the cool stuff I’m working on now, I figured I should start by sharing some of the cool stuff I worked on originally in order to make our first trips possible.

Let me start by introducing you to Wanda.

Yes, this is Wanda. And no, I’m not talking about my daughter standing on top of the rig. Wanda is a 2021 Jayco Eagle HT 284BHOK. This is the first rig we’ve ever owned and the one that sparked our passion for this lifestyle. How did it get the name Wanda? Our kids. We bought this rig right around when Wanda Vision was being streamed and the kids thought it would be a great name for our new RV. They weren’t wrong

Wanda has been incredibly good to us. In a time when rigs have had questionable quality standards due to unprecedented demand generated from the pandemic, Wanda has stood up to six of us traveling over 9,000 miles in her within the first 9 months of ownership. And she’s done it like a champ.

We’ve made some modifications to Wanda that I’m going to discuss in the next few posts. Then I plan to get into how we’ve done trip planning, including the tools I use to ensure I can work regardless of where we are.
